Paper Punch Storage

Punch Storage

I have been trying to find a good way to store my punches, right now, they are taking up an entire drawer in my grandmother's old dresser. I have seen some very creative storage and I wanted to do some research to find my best option, functional, affordable and easy to look at without taking up too much space.

I found some of the following storage ideas: stampgeek utilized a gutter system to store her punches. Very economical (one of my qualifying charachteristics)

jenmaca used strap iron for her wall mounted system.
kreed32 used a closet door organizer for her punch stash

Nichole Heady from Capture the moment came up with these really creative solutions

. wooden spice rack from Stacks and Stacks

rail system from IKEA Check out Zee's solution here

storage shelves with rods from Pottery Barn

chrome drawer pulls from Restoration Hardware could be installed in orderly rows, one for each punch.

In addition to all of these creative solutions, I came up with a few more of my own:

The container store, is on of my favorites and I found several ideas there, including this one

How about this really simple, creative solution from the crafters toybox

Or, this really simple towel rack idea from Christy Nelson

Denise had her DH run with the towel rack idea and he used simple dowel rods to create this great storage, which really works in her small space!

Of course there is this previous post: where Sue Nagel, from Stampin Things has created this gorgeous storage unit for your punchies. It really is a fantastic solution, but a little out of my budget....

So, how do you store your punches? Do you have a creative, economical and funcitonal way to store your paper punches? Add a comment and tell me how you store yours.. I have a free Stampin Up Hostess set for the person who gives me the best, affordable option.

Another Scrapbook Share

This is another old layout I made to remind myself that what I do everyday is important. While staring at a computer screen all day, sometimes I forget that I am doing something that makes a difference. You see, since I am in the military, sometimes I dont feel like I am contributing enough because I am behind a desk, but I am a Medical Administrator and I run a medical clinic and I take care of my fellow service members, ensuring they get quality, timely Healthcare. That is important, even if I am not in the front line, I am taking care of those that are and there families, sometimes, I just need to remind myself that my job IS a contribution....

Great Video Tutorial on making designer pens

One of my favorite fellow SU demos, Angie Kennedy Juda, created this fabulous tutorial on making designer pens with your pretty papers. I think I will get some of these to make and use at my workshops, rather than the dollar store pens I currently use, I can put all my favorite DSP in pens and try to get my customers hooked on the colors.

Masking Tutorial

Pamela, of fire cracker designs created this fabulous video on masking to create scenery, in this case a mountain scene. Its a fabulous tutorial, be sure to check it out!!!

Asian Artistry Sample

I just got a box of sneak peek items in the mail today!! I am like a kid a Christmas when I get a new box of stuff! This card uses Asian Artistry and Kind and Caring thoughts (Since somehow I ordered the spanish version of Asain Artistry, I didnt have its sentiment to use, at least not in English) So, I used Kind and Caring thoughs, Another Sneak Peek set. The background stamp is Asian Artistry also, the colors are Old Olive and Melon Mambo, I also dyed some ribbon with my melon mambo reinker and if you look carefully you can see how inpatient I am, I had to put my ribbon on the card before it was compeltely dry, so now, I have Melon Mambo finger prints on my card, lol. Oh well! It just adds charachter! I colored the flower with my copics (gosh I love my copics) YG63 - Pea Green and RV34- Dark Pink. Happy Stampin!
