All of my time has not been spent on Christmas Cards, during this week off, I got a lot done, organizing my Craft Room, to be more SU friendly (moving all my SU stuff close at hand, reorganizing all of my retired sets from the last time I was an SU demo and of course I have come up with about 100 project ideas, if only I didn't have to work to pay for my Stampin Up hobby and my scuba diving hobby ;)
Anywho, I do have a couple of Valentines cards to share with you tonight before I hit the sack, dreaming of stampin up projects I can do and staying awake because I dont have a enough time in the world to get it all done!
I like the way the malt card came out, I used velum and Sparkly red paper and embossed the topping, I always get carried away with distressing ink though, don't ya think? Both cards are real cards, that fit into a standard A2 envelope.
The lips card came from an idea I saw on interest (boy do I waste a lot of time there) The paper was one of my retired reds and I kept working it with copic markers trying to make it look more realistic, and I added some red dazzling details to make them shiny. I was trying to keep the center of the lips a little lighter, to look like the lips were parted in a smile, but I eventually gave up and went to bed, lol, A little more black distress ink of course, a little too much, I just love to distress my cards and never know when to stop and the worst part is my inky fingers, while I love getting inky, I have got to remember to wipe them up a little before I move on to the next color.
What do you think? What would you have done to make the lips look a little better?
Hugs!! Angi

Holiday Ornament Card
SU recently had these great little Ornamental Elegance Kits on sale, right before Christmas to create Ornaments like this. I purchased the kit with the intention of giving the ornaments to my neighbors to maybe drum up some business for my first workshop and, well, it didn't work out so well... I never got to them. So... I ended up making just one, to see how they looked (mine doesn't look as great as the ones on the front page of the Holiday Catty, but I am still happy with the way it turned out.)
Anyway, I decided to try a smaller version on a card, and I really like the way it came out. I know I should move to my Valentines and Spring cards, but I still trying to use up my Christmas supplies, to make it worse, I spent the weekend cleaning out my scrapbook room and came across a lot of old supplies from when I was a demo before and well, now I feel compelled to use it up to. I am thinking of maybe making all the cards and bagging them up in groups of ten to give as door prizes or book to look prizes or something of that nature, what do you think?
My Sketch World DT app
Greetings, I decided I would like to try and get on a design team or two and just happened to have a DT announcement in my inbox this week, So, I whipped up a couple cards based on sketches in the past hour and submitted my application. Wish me luck! Leave me some comments wishing me luck and I will have a great little bit of blog candy for you, which will be a cute little Happy Hello, Simply Sent kit from the new Sale A Bration Catty from Stampin Up.
This kit includes everything you need for creating a great little cards. As a bonus, If I get selected for the DT, I will add a free little sentiment, so be sure to wish me luck!
While we are on the subject of Sale A Bration, for every $50 you spend during the Sale A Bration period, you can get a free item from the Sale A Bration Catty, this is just one of the free items you can select.
Sale A Bration starts Jan 22 and ends Mar 24, that is a lot of time to gather all the goodies in this great little catty.
Plus, if you join SU as a demonstrator during Sale a bration, you get 25% more in your starter kit, what a great way to start!
But I digress, Back to my DT application. Unfortunately, I am in the middle of several projects right now and I wanted to hurry and get my application in, so I whipped up 4 cards super fast (literally within the hour)
So, I put in my application with My Sketch World and you can find all the sketches here and finally, using scraps from the projects I have been working on and the scraps in my scrap bin, I whipped up these 4 little cards.
Hugs!! Angi
