Great Tips on Organizing your cut files!

I got these tips from my Sure Cuts Alot Yahoo Group, I found them to be great tips to organize your Cut files!

One way to organize your files that you save to your computer, or disk

Make a new folder and title it SCAL

Then inside that folder make 2 new folders-

1. Scut folder-

2. Svg folder-

If you plan on keeping a lot of files, you may want to put subfolders in both categories, which would look something like this in both categories:

Scut folder-
Cards-
Paper Piecings-
Templates-
Titles-
Word books-

You can be as detailed as you want and create subfolders inside of those folders which would look something like these 2 examples:

Scut folder-
Cards-
-Birthdays
- Christmas
- Easter
-Halloween

Paper Piecings-
-animals
-people
-buildings
-objects
-holidays

What I have written down is just an example of what you could put down as your folders. Its up to you what categories you will have, depending on the type of files you save.

The important thing is that you do it where it will be easiest for you to find something when you want it. You don't want to save something to your computer, and spend all day looking for it.

** It is best to save your files to something other than your computer, you may lose them all if your computer crashes.
