Behind Blue Eyes

This Layout has been one I have longed to do for some time. The challenge this week at All About Me was to scrapbook the soundtrack of your life. Music has always been extremely important in my life and I have always had theme songs.... I even asked potential dates what song they would describe as their theme song to find out more about them...... Behind Blue Eyes by the Who has always touched me, yes I have blue eyes, but it is so much more than that, as I struggled with Depression, this song spoke for me, it spoke to me..... I used the latest sketch, over at the Tally Blog

Dirty Challenge #1

We all have negative experiences in our life from the VERY bad to the regular ups and downs so I challenge you to scrap a PEEVE, annoyance or a downright angry moment that's the dirty part...
but here is the twist...
We are not just a bitching session here, this blog is to inspire you to look inside and grow... on the same page I want you to find something positive in that aggravation and put some perspective on it.

 My brother and nephew are currently living with me and my three kids....


"It drives me nuts how much food my brother eats, how much food my nephew wastes and how little (nothing), my brother contributes to the household grocery bill. It makes me crazy!!! But, he does help me with my boys, can fix anything electronic, mechanical and household maintenance and for that part, I am grateful. "


What I am learning is that I need to be less passive aggresive and I need to be less passive and more assertive, I need to sit down and talk about what is bothering me. How can he fix anything he doesnt know is bothering me??? I feel like a pressure cooker sometimes, maybe I should add this to my goals for the year.

My Non-Purse layout

This layout was made for the Challenge Masters, January Book of me challenge, which was to journal/scrapbook about what is in my purse. I really dont carry a purse often, I carry my keys, which have an ID card holder attached, which holds my ID, Drivers Liscence and Debit card. More often than not, I just grab the debit card and ID and stick them in one pocket, and my cell in the other and hit the road like that. The ID card holder is new cuz, I recently lost an ID (I think it fell out of my pocket in a McDonalds bathroom or in My great Aunt's couch..... So, I scrapbooked about my non-purse, although, I do have a closet full of purses that I never use, I probably should have scrapped about that ;) Oh and I used a card sketch for this layout from Paper makeup.

My Pantry staples and my guilty pleasure

This first layout is one of those old ones that I never did anything with. I did the journaling in Oct 2008, here we are Jan 2010, I just took the picture today for my one photo for project 365 and, the journaling from this layout actually still applies today! I just journaled about the staples in my pantry and fridge, the things we buy every time we go to the store, I guess it's a good thing that most of it healthy!




For the second layout, I like the idea, but seriously? What scrappers guilty pleasure isnt scrapbooking, or collecting stuff or pretty stuff or accumulating craft stuff. I did this layout in my favorite color, pink, with one of my favorite Prima Flowers and the papers are from scribble scrabble, i think they are from an old kit, since one of my goals this year is to use my stash, I just grabbed the stack of papers and this is the second layout with the set. Have you journalled or scrapbooked about your guilty pleasure?

Scrapbook Challenge: Days gone by

"Auld Lang Syne" (Scots pronunciation: [ˈɔːld lɑŋˈsəin]: note "s" rather than "z")^[1] is a Scottish poem written by Robert Burns in 1788^[2] and set to the tune of a traditional folk song (Roud # 6294). It is well known in many English-speaking (and other) countries and is often sung to celebrate the start of the New Year at the stroke of midnight. By extension, its use has also become common at funerals, graduations, and as a farewell or ending to other occasions.
The song's Scots title may be translated into English literally as "old long since", or more idiomatically, "long long ago"^[3] or "days gone by". The phrase "Auld Lang Syne" is also used in similar poems by Robert Ayton (1570–1638), Allan Ramsay (1686–1757), and James Watson (1711) as well as older folk songs predating Burns.^[4] Matthew Fitt uses the phrase "In the days of auld lang syne" as the equivalent of "Once upon a time..." in his retelling of fairy tales in the Scots language.

Today's Scrapbook Challenge: Create an album cover with your supplies

Today's challenge is simple, use your scrapbook supplies to turn an ordinary album into a Christmas album I used ribbon to turn a red album into Christmas album. Do you love how it turned out? It was simple and way less expensive than purchasing an album that was made specifically for the Holiday! What have you come up with?

Today's Scrapbook Challenge

Todays challenge is to create a layout about the day you discovere/or were told that Santa wasn't real. I scrapped this a few years ago by taking a picture of the stuffed animal I rcvd that year. I have somehow managed to keep that stuffed dog for all these years and military moves, so I thought I would commemorate him by scrapping the memory I have of the day I got him and found out that Santa wasnt real.
