Use your stash: Altered cigarette boxes

I love finding great ways to use my scrapbooking stash and here is a great way to use cigarette boxes. okay, I am not condoning smoking of course, but the truth is, people still smoke, so we can use up those boxes to make a great treat box. The gals at Creatively Green have altered these boxes to make great treat boxes, they even show you how to get the tobacco smell out of it and provide an alternate template to make a box of your own! Be sure to stop and see what they have been up to because they are also giving away some great prizes until Christmas!

If you dont want to use a cigarette box at all- heres a template!

**If you hate the smell of smoke, here is a super easy way to REMOVE smoke smell from just about anything!**

How To Remove Smoke Smell/ Scent Up Your Projects!

1 To get rid of the smoke smell: Mix 1 cup of water with 1tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp of vanilla. Using a brush, paint, the mixture on the inside and outside of the cigarette boxes. Place in your oven on LOW for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool ( kinda like baking cookies). When they are removed, the smoke smell will be gone, but they will now smell like cinnamon cookies.
