More Paper flowers

Are you tired of these flower videos yet? I am so in love with all these fabulous flowers..... Have you seen some of the new flowers by Prima? I love them so much, but there is no way to afford all of them.... So why not create our own. Here is another video for you for these crumpled print flowers, the idea is certainly good for any patterned paper as well!

Featured Tutorial Video: Vantage Lace Flowers

Fellow blogger and scrapbooker Pinky made these beautiful lace flowers and made a video to show us how.

Here are my first two attempts, I didnt put anything in the center, I kind of liked them just the way they were, I used some pink pearl ex to color one of them, just to see how it would look, I wanted to try some glimmer mist, but only have browns right now, I will let you know how that turns out....

Why do you scrapbook?

I am loving this video by Shimelle and I would totally love to come up with my own version, too bad I am not in love with my own voice, I am not confident enough to make a you tube video. I took a class once on Big Picture Scrapbooking and we made a book about why we scrapbook, my reasons, like this video state, have changed and so, Maybe, I will make a new book about why I scrapbook, does that sound silly?

Today's Featured Video: make your own paper flowers

Check out this great video! What a great idea to use up all of those paper scraps and mis matched buttons!!



I tried it out and here are two of the flowers I came up with..... I used a 3" scalloped circle, a 2" scalloped circle and a 1 1/4 scalloped circle to give them a layered look, one of the flowers uses all crumbled paper while the other just as is, I inked one and not the other and put buttons on both.. what do you think? Imagine how much money you can save by making your own flowers!!

In the meantime, here is a video to make your own cut files in Inkscape, which is a freeware program that you can use to design your own files and then cut in SCAL , but, if I had to choose, I would go with Make the Cut!!!
